Theme requirements
We will prefer
- themes which has versions for drupal 6 and drupal 7 distributions
- themes must work correct in IE6 ans above, Opera 9 and above, Firefox 2.0, Chrome and Safari
We interesting in simple good looking drupal themes to give people possibility get normal standalone blog in seconds.
Later I add requirements to theme regions or requirements to description sets of theme regions(e.g. where place navigation, primary links and something else - I plan organize presets for each system theme where it is possible).
About translations
System uses following modules:
better_formats, better_messages, captcha, CCK, dst, filefield, imageapi, imageapi_gd, imagecache, imagecache_ui, imagefield, lightbox2, no_anon, pathauto, persistent_login, tagadelic, token, uploadpath, wysiwyg, admin_menu
So if you want create normal translation for installer to get translated version of software out of the box -you need translations for modules located in their folders(needed for correct import).
Forums were added
Hello, we've just added forums, where you can help to project get better, e.g. propose your help with translations and theme testing to offer add normal free themes to the Brainstormblogger distribution. Later I'm going publish theme requirements, translations requirements.
About project
Brainstormblogger is Drupal installation with additional modules and themes. The goal was to get standalone blog right after installation. No need to make long drupal configuration and install additional modules. All main settings are included.
Brainstormblogger uses modules: better_formats, better_messages, captcha, CCK, dst, filefield, imageapi, imageapi_gd, imagecache, imagecache_ui, imagefield, lightbox2, no_anon, pathauto, persistent_login, tagadelic, token, uploadpath, wysiwyg, admin_menu.
Drupal 6 core is patched to work correct with daylight savings time(dst module).
After installation you get configured blog with WYSIWYG editor, categories etc. Russian localization included with package as whole as I can get it from drupaler.ru.
Brainstornblogger 1.1.1
Brainstornblogger 1.1.1 was released. Release contains some bugfixes and new updated modules. Go to download page to get new vesion.
Hello
brainstormblogger main site now running. Here you can get fresh archive with distribution.Later we will add forum, and possible some project system to make possiible track all the project changes.
Of course there is another way: store distribution on drupal org with all features create fresh package in one click using drush and it's makefiles. This work is in progress.
